I earned my BFA in Set Design from The Theatre School Conservatory at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois where I also spent time working as the scenic painting assistant.
In my final year at DePaul I began my theatre career assisting scenic designers in Chicago, IL while working over hire for the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre’s props department. Immediately after graduation I moved to New York City. While in New York, I have continued building my assistant and associate credits. These opportunities have allowed me to work on shows in NYC as well as many outside the city. Some of these places include the Arena Theatre in Washington, D.C., North Dakota State University, and the Chicago Opera Theatre.
In the time I have spent living in New York I have been the lead scenic designer on shows in Manhattan and Brooklyn, as well as out of state shows in Chicago, Illinois and Bar Harbor, Maine.
In 2015, I added projection designer to my resume when I designed the set and projections for Mother (and Me) at Uptown 2econd Stage’s McGinn Cazale Theatre. Soon after, I became a founding member of the new theatre company Jumping Rock, where I am the production designer in residence. Since then I have also designed projections for Rocky Horror Live in Maine and the new NYC production, Old Souls, by Jumping Rock.
I most recently worked as a projections animator and video crew on Privacy at The Public Theatre in NYC.
